The middle school teams will not be traveling to Kearney, Nebraska, on June 9-10 due to the division availability. Instead, these teams will participate in the MAYB tournament in Colorado Springs 6/1-6/3.

Sport Xcel partners with the Hoopsters

Sport Xcel group sessions for Hoopsters will be held at the Sport Xcel facility on Tuesdays and Fridays. The sessions will last one hour and will focus on speed, agility, strength and injury prevention. There will be 12 sessions over a 6 to 7 week time period beginning the first week of April and ending around the second week of May. The cost for a member will be $120 and you will be charged through the Hoopsters. The time is most likely going to be 5pm to 6pm. You pay for the 12 sessions and there are no make up sessions. This is the only way we get the heavily discounted rate of $10 per session.

Players competing for spots on Black, Blue and White will be required to commit to 5 travel tournaments this year. Payments for the entire spring/summer will be due in two equal installments– Due by April 15th and June 15th (A credit card option will be available this year). A $300 deposit will be required at the time of acceptance of a position on a travel team. You will not travel if you have not paid. Expect the total payment for the season to be around $3200 which will cover coaching fees (March through September), travel tournament fees, hotel fees for the player (including daily breakfast and 1 team dinner per tournament) and gym time. This doesn’t include players costs to travel or any family expenses. If you suffer a serious injury, you will receive a refund that is prorated depending upon what you have not participated in. There are no annual dues. If you do not attend a tournament for any reason other than a significant injury or family emergency, you will not receive a refund for the costs of that tournament.

The website calendar for March through July has been updated and contains almost all practices planned as well as national tournament times for most of the travel teams. Some details will be added soon including the sites of our tournaments and some Saturday practices that will take place at Cherry Creek High School in April and May.
